1. Scope of Services
Rock and Timber, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides professional services including excavation, road construction, wildfire mitigation, hauling, and related site work. All work is performed under either a fixed-price agreement or on an hourly basis, as detailed in the client’s quote or service agreement.
2. Pricing & Payment
Fixed-Price Work
- Quotes are provided based on defined project scope.
- A 25% deposit is required before work begins.
- The remaining balance is due upon completion.
Hourly Work
- Hourly services are billed based on agreed rates.
- Minimum hourly charges may apply (e.g., 2-hour minimum).
- Time includes travel, equipment setup, and active work time on-site.
3. Project Timeline
We aim to complete all work within a reasonable timeframe. However, factors such as weather, permits, material availability, or unforeseen site conditions may impact the schedule.
4. Client Responsibilities
- Ensure clear access to the job site.
- Mark all underground utilities before work begins.
- Obtain necessary permits unless otherwise agreed.
5. Liability & Site Conditions
Rock and Timber, LLC is fully insured. We are not liable for:
- Damages to unmarked or incorrectly marked utilities
- Incidental surface damage caused by equipment (e.g., tire ruts, disturbed soil)
- Delays due to weather or third-party disruptions
6. Cancellations & Refunds
- For fixed-price jobs, the deposit is non-refundable once work has begun.
- Hourly work cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a minimum charge.
- Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a minimum service fee.
7. Warranties
We stand by our workmanship. Warranty coverage varies by service type and will be discussed at the time of contracting. Warranty does not cover damage caused by third parties, weather, or lack of maintenance.
8. Modifications
Terms are subject to change. Clients will be notified of any material updates in writing.
